Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Machine Operator. Will set up and operate casting machines (Comma Coater, Keko and/or Belt) to cast dielectric material of different types and thickness

Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt): $18.50 - $20.00/per hour (DOE)

Work Schedule (Monday-Friday) 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least three (3) months in setting up and operating semi-automated machines.
• At least three (3) months of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a chemical environment
• Basic computer skills
• Good math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Some experience using a Microscope
• Experience working in a Clean Room Environment
• Experience with Comma Coater, Keko and/or Belt Casting Machines

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the quality of the tape they produce.
• Read the travelers to ensure that they are using the correct dielectric type and caster set-up.
• Thickness, density and porosity measurement and data recording in SPC Data Entry.
• Ability to receive frequent verbal instruction and inspect work or materials produced.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Standing/Walking up to 90% of shift; Sitting up to 10% shift.

• Twisting of neck and waist up to 90% shift; stoop and bend up to 20% of shift.

• Reaching above shoulder, and simple hand grasping up to 20% of shift.
• Lift, push, pull, and/or move - up to 80 lbs. with assistance up to 70% of shift.
• Measuring material up to 90% of shift.
• Will occasionally work in fast paced environment and demonstrate adaptability
• Must understand and follow a set of clear verbal and/or written procedures without deviation.
• Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards.
• Interact with co-workers to complete tasks.
