Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Specification Review Technician I, will review customer
documentation (drawings, specifications, and contracts) and converting those customer needs into Johanson
requirements. Will interact daily with Applications Engineering and the Sales teams. Will occasionally be
communicating directly with company customers.
Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt): $24.50 - $26.50/per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule (Monday-Friday) 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience:
• Associate of Arts Degree in electronics or other similar STEM focus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required, ability to read CAD drawings and specifications.
• Technical writing ability.
• Basic understanding of circuit board layout.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) and Adobe
Acrobat
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Working knowledge of source control drawings and military standards.
• Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Microsoft Dynamics D365 CE
• Bilingual in Spanish.
Essential Functions:
• Review customer specifications, drawings and contracts and translate them into Johanson format and
enter them into company software (ERP, CRM and Engineering Software).
• Process Customer Spec Reviews and Contract Review and Document in Systems.
• Generate drawings of Johanson part numbers.
• Cross reference competitor part numbers to Johanson part numbers.
• Create new part numbers in systems that follow specifications.
• Communicate with the Sales team regarding customer specifications, drawings and contract reviews.
• Answer technical questions from customers per training, specifications and guidelines.
• Will create and maintain department procedures.
• Cross-training for other jobs is required so that employees can occasionally fill-in in other departments,
when required.
• Additional or different functions may be assigned to the employee periodically.

This position requires confidentiality; the company has many Non-Disclosure Agreements with customers who
require confidentiality and occasionally will work with ITAR controlled documents. As such, US citizenship or
